Zero Punctuation Reviews from The Escapist – Hilarious video reviews of popular games

Zero Punctuation Reviews from The Escapist Magazine is a series of video reviews by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. Although these are called video reviews, it’s not the usual stuff with actual game play footage being shown with reviewer comments on the background. Instead, a funny and cleverly done animation is played while Yahyzee rips games apart with his sarcastic, witty and ultimately hilarious comments without stopping for a breath. Here is the official description of Zero Punctuation Reviews as displayed on the homepage:

Zero Punctuation is The Escapist's groundbreaking video review series starring Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. Every Wednesday Zero Punctuation picks apart the games so you don't have to. Called "hilariously cutting ... first legitimate breakout hit from the gaming community in recent memory" by Boing Boing, see why gamers love it and developers fear it.

Yahtzee is a British-born, currently Australian-based writer and gamer with a sweet hat and a chip on his shoulder. When he isn't talking very fast into a headset mic he also designs freeware adventure games and writes the back page column for PC Gamer, who are too important to mention us. His personal site is www.fullyramblomatic.com.

I stumbled across one of these video reviews and it was so damn hilarious I ended up watching around 20 more of these. There are currently around 60 video reviews in total (including reviews of recent titles such as Dead Space) and a new one is added every week. These are definitely worth checking out if you have the slightest interest in video games.
