Razor1911 is back with another release. Lord of the Rings : Conquest, the newest PC title based on LOTR universe, has been cracked and released on scene topsites right on the game’s official North American release date. Razor1911’s release consists of a full DVD ISO of the game, a cracked executable with SecuRom DRM removed, several serial keys as well as a key generator.
This game, like many other games from Electronic Arts, is protected by the SecuROM v7 DRM software; online activation as well as a valid serial key is required to play the game (which was expected). The game exe included in Razor1911’s release seems to be DRM free – that’s what crackers do. Apart from thousands of pirates who’ll download the release, Razor1911’s release will no doubt be used by many legitimate gamers who hate DRM.
On another note, I’ve seen game developers blame piracy for delays and non availability of PC ports. Well it’s not like console games don’t get pirated. For example the XBOX360 version of LOTR : Conquest got leaked 5 hours before the PC version.
Speaking of pirates, Razor’s release has already made its way onto several private torrent trackers. In fact, it didn’t even take 10 mins for some of them to upload the torrent:

The game itself seems to be good but can’t really comment about the game play without actually playing it. I saw the launch trailer and it looked pretty cool. Anyway I could not find any review of the game on Gamerakings (yet). While you wait for the reviews, you can read the Gamespot preview found here.
Update: It seems not all SecuROM triggers are removed in the cracked executable. Some pirated version users have reported running into invisible walls in game; an invisible barrier is blocking you from entering a seemingly accessible area, for example in Moria map (possibly in other maps/levels. Usually the blocked area is critical to game progress. Such triggers left behind by the protection are usually fixed by scene groups via PROPER or CRACKFIX releases (no PROPER yet for LOTR:Conquest).
Update 2: The_Lord_Of_The_Rings_Conquest_Crackfix-Razor1911 has been released. This apparently fixes the invisible wall bug found in the cracked version of the game. Following is quoted from the Razor1911 CRACKFIX NFO:
This fixes an issue in our crack.
Razor 1911 Greetings
