We have posted about several music torrent trackers that focus on hardcore / hardstyle music here on FILEnetworks Blog before such as Underground Ravers. For those who love this music genre, here’s another private tracker that’s shown promising growth over the last couple of months. HardTracker is a relatively new BitTorrent site that tracks hardcore, hardstyle, schranz, frenchcore, terror, dnb, speedcore, etc music. It’s not a widely known site in the BT community but for a niche tracker that’s only around 4 months old, it’s done pretty well. HT is also one of the few sites specializing in hardcore music that’s open for public registrations so fans of this music genre might want to give this one a go.
HardTracker is another torrent site based in the Ukrain, which now has a reputation of being a BitTorrent friendly country (UKrain is home to other larger sites such as Demonoid and ExtraTorrent). Site’s primary language seems to be Russian. However, English speaking users need not worry as interface can be switched to English with the click of a button – just click on the English flag icon located on top right corner of a page.
Although a relatively new entrant to the BitTorrent community, HardTracker has been online for about 4 months. It has somehow managed to survive the plague which most new private torrent trackers get infected with – lack of leechers. Most of the torrents indexed on this site do have activity on them and are not dead. Speaking of torrents, HT currently tracks over 1100 torrents. These are spread across 15 categories including Hardcore, Hardstyle, Gabber, Breakcore, Schranz | Hard-Techno, Drum'n'Bass, Breakbeat, Happycore, Terror, Other, Lossless, Speedcore, Frenchcore, Oldschool and 8 bit (chiptune). Both scene and non scene releases are indexed. A screenshot of part of the main index can be found below:
HT is a ratio based site but it does have a bonus system – those who have difficulty maintaining the global ratio can buy upload credits using the bonus points you earn (you earn points based on the seeding time). With enough points, you can even purchase invites to HardTracker.
HardTracker is based on a custom tracker script and you might find its layout different from that of Gazelle or TBDEV. However, it’s simpler than it looks – most of the navigation functions are located in the left sidebar instead of the top toolbar. Also, keep in mind that clicking on the ‘Forum’ button on top of the page will take you to an external site. To open the torrent index, you need to click on ‘Home’ (there is no ‘Browse’ here).
As mentioned at the start of this post, HardTracker registrations are open. Again, this is one of the few hardcore music trackers that have open registration so if you love this music genres, check it out.
