There seems to be a lot of demand for private torrent trackers and DDL forums specializing in High Definition content. We’ve already posted about quite a few sites that serve this niche but requests just keep coming. For those still seeking a good site to get your daily dose of HD content including Blu-Ray movies, HD TV shows and HD documentaries, here’s another excellent option; HD-UNIT3D. Unlike most sites we post here, HD-UNIT3D is not a private torrent tracker. It’s a Direct Download Link (DDL) forum which contains verified links to exclusive HD encodes by Team Unit3d. But that’s not all, if you love private trackers keep reading because HDU has just launched it’s own private BitTorrent tracker based on Gazelle (Bit-UNIT3D) and have opened its invites to the public as well.
When you browse HD-UNIT3D homepage for the first time, it’ll look nothing more than one of those abandoned forum based sites no one ever visits. That however is far from the truth. With over 16000 registered members, this is a pretty active forum. If you register a free account and log in, you’ll see what this site is really about. Hidden part of the main index will only unlock to registered users and it’s through these sections you’ll find DDL links to High Def content.
Speaking of content, HD-UNI3TED is not another site that indexes usual scene/p2p releases which are pretty common nowadays. It’s content is unique and is not usually found on other trackers or similar sites – all indexed releases are ripped/encoded by Team UNIT3D which is the internal release group attached to the site. Type of content available should become clear once you see the screenshot below (it shows part of the main index):
As mentioned earlier, HD-UNIT3D itself is a DDL forum. Indexed releases are hosted on one click hosters such as RapidShare, Hotfile, etc. These download links are verified & there are no fakes, viruses or other forms of crap here.
If you are a fan of torrents and if you prefer BitTorrent over DDL links, there’s no reason to be disappointed. HD-UNiT3D’s own private tracker Bit-UNIT3D has just been launched. It’s based on Gazelle codebase and looks really promising.
We’re not going to review Bit-UNIT3D tracker here in detail – await a separate review in a future post. It’s currently closed for signup but just know that existing HD-UNiT3D members are able to request free invites using an online invite request forum.
