If you like action sports and extreme sports, here is some good news. ExtremeBits (XB), a private torrent tracker specializing in extreme sports related content, has opened public registrations after 5 long months. Although you may not have heard of it, this is a well established tracker that’s been around for a while (it was featured on this blog several months ago back in 2008). In addition to the large collection of sports related torrents that you might not find elsewhere, ExtremeBits has an excellent community of members and a nice, clean interface.
With over 3100 active torrents, ExtremeBits has one of the largest sports torrent indexes currently around. It tracks a lot of video clips, TV shows, DVDs, magazines,etc related to extreme sports events. In addition to these, you can also find sports related movies, DVD covers, soundtracks and even graffiti here on ExtremeBits. Popular extreme/action sports featured on this tracker including Skateboarding, Skiing, Rally, Surfing, Kayaking, Climbing and Street Racing (See categories below for more info).
As mentioned above ExtremeBits has a clean layout which comes complete with cool category icons. The interface also allows easy one click rating of indexed torrents via the voting option (available to power users and above). Torrents can also be sorted according to the ‘hype factor’. Dear users, as per result of the latest poll, we have now re-opened our signups after 5 months of closed shop. Signups will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays. Tell your friends!
Note that they are only open during the weekends. Since we are late in posting this, there may only be a few hours of open signups left. If you couldn’t get in – don’t worry and consider this post a heads up. Signups will be open the next weekend as well.
