One of the best things about the warez scene is it’s adherence to a tight set of rules & regulations. These ‘scene rules’ ensures the quality of releases & helps keep the scene more organized. When a release is not in accordance with rules, it can be made invalid. This is calling ‘nuking’. A nuke based on non existent rules or made up reasons can be undone – this is called and un-nuke. If the same release is getting nuked and un-nuked multiple times, it’s referred to as a Nukewar. When a release is nuked or un nuked, reason for the action is usually mentioned along with the nuke announcement. This post captures some of the funniest nuke reasons associated with scene releases over the past couple of years.

While some of the above actually came from within the scene, some (such as NukeWar 05) may have come from p2p oriented pre databases/sources. Anyways the above list goes on to show how much e-drama can sometimes be associated with a pirated release.
