Darkc0der cracks Dead Space DRM
Darkc0der has done it again. Another major SecuROM protected title cracked by this non scene ‘one man cracking powerhouse’. Darkc0der has released a modified paul.dll file for EA’s Dead Space, which has the SecuROM DRM removed. Using the fixed dll allows legitimate players and pirates alike to play the game without online activation and get rid of any other DRM limitations. Apparently Darkc0der’s fix works with the previously leaked Clone DVD release as well. The following lines are quoted from the .NFO:
"Darkc0der: Gladly I was faster than razor1911 this time."
Indeed he was.

Clone DVD of EA’s Dead Space (PC) leaked
A DVD image of EA’s survival horror game Dead Space has leaked to private torrent trackers and one click hosting sites across the world. The leaked image which is 7.43GB in size, seems to be an untouched clone of the original DVD which has support for multiple languages (English, Russian, Hungary, Czech, Polish).
Pirates who download this release will be able to install the game but will not be able to play the game as it is protected by controversial SecuROM DRM. This is a similar situation to which arose with Far Cry 2, where a Clone DVD of the game got leaked first and then scene group Razor1911 released a modified executable with DRM removed which allowed pirates to play the game without having to activate online. It is highly likely that Dead Space’s DRM too will be cracked soon by a scene group or by a non scene individual such as DarkC0der.
Dead Space comes bundled with SecuRom 7 DRM which was used in previous EA titles such as Spore and Mass Effect. Apart from forcing online activation , SecuROM limits the maximum number of installations available per copy of the game. Sooner or later all these titles got cracked by Scene groups such as RELOADED as well as by individuals such as Darkc0der who released SecuRom free versions of the game. Even legitimate players ended up using the cracked releases due to the controversial nature of SecuROM which ultimately earned EA a class action lawsuit.
Sport-Scene.net signups open – Sports torrents
Private torrent tracker Sport-Scene (SSC) is currently open for signup. It is undoubtedly one of the best sports trackers out there. This tracker does not open signups that often and there is a note on the front page about the current open signup period:

Trancebooster – Trance music tracker signups open
Trancebooster (TRB) is a popular trance music tracker which is currently open for new signups. The site currently has just under 3000 users and tracks 2900+ torrents. Majority of these torrents are music albums of the trance genre (See categories below for more information). TRB seem to index both scene and non scene releases and they have a great collection of packs as well. Download speeds on this tracker are pretty good, from what I have seen so far.

The Peer Hub signups open – 25/10/2008
The Peer Hub (TPH) is a private torrent tracker which tracks general and 0Day torrents. You can find scene and p2p released movies, games, ebooks, music, appz and more on this tracker. Pre times and download speeds are average. TPH currently tracks over 4500 torrents. One thing I noticed was that they have a lot of XBOX/XBOX360 related unique packs:
After seeing the screenshot, don’t get the impression that TPH is a XBOX games tracker. As said above it’s a general tracker which happens to have a lot of XBOX packs among others. There is no visible invite system on TPH so the only way in seem to be through open signup periods. It’s open now for new users so interested readers may join for free.

CloneDVD of Bully: Scholarship Edition (PC) leaked
Scene group PROCYON who are best known for their Clone DVD’s have released an image of Bully: Scholarship Edition for the PC moments ago. The Clone DVD can be mounted using a disk emulation tool such as Daemon Tools and apparently the game can be played without a modified exe. The following is from PROCYON’s NFO:

Interestingly the NFO states ‘Protection – None’. A DRM free game after a long time? :) Way to go Rockstar!
Speaking of the game, it’s from Rockstar Vancouver and as with any Rockstar game, this raised a few eyebrows due to offensive and violent content when this was first announced. Game’s XBOX360 and WII releases have got good scores on Gamerankings so hopefully the PC version will also be awesome.
