It provides protection against Spyware, pop-ups, security threats and other potentially unwanted software via a set of real time, on demand and online detection mechanisms. Real time protection contains a number of security agents which deliver protection againt system settings modifications, Internet Explorer settings modifications, browser hijack attempts, services and drivers modifications, spyware installation and execution and windows add on modifications.
How to get it:
This is available as a free download from Microsoft download center or Automatic Updates. However, this download/installation requires genuine validation. Once your PC is 'genuine' you can download this from wherever you like (from MS download center, via automatic updates, Autopatcher etc).
